Absalom Murders Amnon And Flees While David Mourns. So now, do not let my lord the king take the report to heart that all the king’s sons are dead; for Amnon alone is dead. Now Absalom fled. And the young man who kept watch looked up, and behold, many people were coming from the road behind him by the side of the mountain.
ABSALOM EXECUTES JUDGMENT
Now when King David heard about all these things, he was very angry [but failed to take any action]. But Absalom did not speak to Amnon either good or bad; for Absalom hated Amnon because he had violated his sister Tamar.

David said, “While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept; for I thought, ‘Who knows, the LORD may be gracious to me and the child may live.’But now he is dead; why should I [continue to] fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him [when I die], but he will not return to me.”
NATHAN REBUKES DAVID THOU ART THE MAN
Nathan Rebukes David Thou Art The Man. Why have you despised the word of the LORD by doing evil in His sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife. You have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

And when she was purified from her uncleanness, she returned to her house.
