A Prayer for the world to a New Life.

On this New Year’s Day I pray.

Oh Lord I come to you in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ praying and testify in the Lord, that we henceforth walk not as lost Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart,  who have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

We have not so learned Christ; if so be that we have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus.

That we put off concerning the former conversation of the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts.

That we are renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that we put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Therefore putting away lying, speaking every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Let us not be angry, and let us sin not: let not the sun go down upon our wrath: Neither give place to the devil.

Let those that stole steal no more: but rather let them labour, working with their  hands the thing which is good, that they may have to give to him that need.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of our mouths, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Let us not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, whereby we are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from us, with all malice:

Let us be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven us.

Lead our Country and our Leaders true in CHRIST; in His ways and His will.

In the name of Jesus Christ we ask.

AMEN.
