Remind people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready and willing to do good,
to slander or abuse no one, to be kind and conciliatory and gentle, showing unqualified consideration and courtesy toward everyone.
TEACH SOUND DOCTRINE HOW WE MAY “ADORN THE DOCTRINE”
For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.
TEACH SOUND DOCTRINE A PATTERN FOR OLD AND YOUNG
But as for you, teach the things which are in agreement with sound doctrine [which produces men and women of good character whose lifestyle identifies them as true Christians].
REPROVE THOSE WHOSE WORKS DENY GOD
The Judaizing teachers, who insisted that men must become Jews before they could be Christians, were always on Paul’s heels, visiting his churches and diverting his converts from the simplicity of the faith.
