We see that He;

Jesus ends His Ministry in Judea and;
John the Baptist Exalts Christ.
Jesus finished His Ministry in Judea and went up to Galilee but did not take the long road the Jews normally take to avoid going through Samaria but went straight to a place called Sychar near to the parcel of  ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there.

Jesus returned via Samaria to Galilee and we see The Rewards Of Service John 4:28-38, The Growth Of Faith John 4:39-45 and lastly The Reward Of Trusting Jesus’ Word John4:46-54.

Matthew 21:12-17

And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
And said unto them,

“It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”

And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased,
And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them,

“Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?”

And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

Jesus was the Passover Lamb of GOD!

Jesus entered Jerusalem on the 10th day of Abib, he was inspected and was declared Righteous to be slaughters on the 14 day of Abib, and remained in the Grave just like Jonah in the Whale for three days and three nights and he rose just before sunset on the third day. See Exodus 12:1-6 all about the Passover. Leviticus 23:5-8 the Passover and unleavened bread. Numbers 9:2-4 the instruction to Moses about the Passover.
Jesus crucifixion followed the exact same timing as the Lamb of God to be slaughters for our transgressions as the slaughtering of the Passover lamb, even the four days of testing the Passover lamb. See the explanation below.

Jesus was the Passover Lamb of GOD!

Frederick Brotherton Meyer, a contemporary and friend of D. L. Moody and A. C. Dixon, was a Baptist pastor and evangelist in England involved in ministry and inner city mission work on both sides of the Atlantic presents it to us this way regarding Matthew 21:12-17

THE LORD OF THE TEMPLE

Our Lord entered the city in fulfillment of prophetic vision, but in great lowliness, along the road carpeted by the loving enthusiasm of the crowds. It was largely a Galilean and popular outburst. The upper classes kept aloof. Remember that ancient prediction quoted here, Isa_62:11, and especially Zec_9:9. The King comes having salvation. That is the divine order! We shall never know the full power of Christ’s salvation until we have welcomed Him to our hearts as King.
It was only a crowd of poor people who escorted Jesus on Palm Sunday to the Holy City; but they sent their hosannas upward to the highest, and their shouts of acclamation and praise are ever ringing down the ages. Let us take them up and pass them on. Hosanna means Save now, Psa_118:25, which formed part of the Great Hallel, or Passover Psalms. Thus, one day, His Church, and probably the literal Israel of the future, will hail Him with transports of joy. See Zec_2:10. Where Jesus comes, He cleanses. At His word the heart that was filled with the din of worldly care becomes the home of prayer, and children-the emblems of humility, simplicity, and faith-gather. While the needy and the childlike are attracted by our Lord’s gentleness, wrongdoers are driven out before the “terror of the Lord.”

We thank William MacDonald (1917-2007) who, for more than forty years, written directly about the key issues of Christianity. Leaving a promising business career as an employed investment analyst with First National Bank of Boston “at the foot of the Cross”, he had travelled worldwide, proclaiming the unsearchable riches of Christ for the Believer’s Bible Commentary on Matthew 21:12-17

Cleansing the Temple

21:12 At the outset of His public ministry, Jesus had driven commercialism out of the temple environs (Joh_2:13-16). But profiteering for an excessive fee had again sprung up in the outer court of the temple. Sacrificial animals and birds were being bought and sold at exorbitant rates. Moneychangers converted other currencies into the half-shekel which Jewish men had to pay as temple tribute (tax)—for an excessive fee. Now, as His ministry drew to a close, Jesus again drove out those who were profiteering from sacred activities.
21:13 Combining quotations from Isaiah and Jeremiah, He condemned desecration, commercialism, and exclusivism. Quoting from Isa_56:7, He reminded them that God intended the temple to be a house of prayer. They had made it a hangout of thieves (Jer_7:11).
This cleansing of the temple was His first official act after entering Jerusalem. By it He unmistakably asserted His lordship over the temple.
This incident has a twofold message for today. In our church life, we need His cleansing power to drive out bazaars, suppers, and a host of other money-making gimmicks. In our personal lives, there is constant need for the purging ministry of the Lord in our bodies, the temples of the Holy Spirit.

Year after year the commercialization of the Holy days are getting more and more commercialized, So called Christmas has become something our Government use to generate income tax. The Passover has become the time to sell chocolate bunnies and eggs. Bazaars and Supermarkets compete who cells the best hot cross buns. During both these holiday periods people stuff themselves with so much food the need to diet for the rest of the year. The message of Jesus Christ birth and salvation has gone out the door. Gods 7th Sabbath day has become the prime day to buy and cell, the Popes Sabbath day Sunday, even worse. People work for 7days a week because this world has forgotten who the Creator and Saviour of Mankind are.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:21-23

“Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
