DYING WITH THE PHILISTINES

Dying With The Philistines. And Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he stretched out with all his might [collapsing the support pillars], and the house fell on the lords and on all the people who were in it. So the dead whom he killed at his death were more than those whom he had killed during his life.

PILLARS OF CLOUD AND FIRE

Pillars Of Cloud And Fire. The [presence of the] LORD was going before them by day in a pillar (column) of cloud to lead them along the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, so that they could travel by day and by night.
He did not withdraw the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from going before the people.

ISAAC’S WELLS AND COVENANT

The Philistines had stopped up the wells which Abraham had dug—an unfriendly act signifying that the newcomers were not welcome. Strife ensued with the Philistines at Esek (contention) and Sitnah (enmity).
