STEWARDS OF GOD’S GRACE THE NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh [and died for us], arm yourselves [like warriors] with the same purpose [being willing to suffer for doing what is right and pleasing God], because whoever has suffered in the flesh [being like-minded with Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [having stopped pleasing the world],
so that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living for human appetites and desires, but [lives] for the will and purpose of God.

FOLLOWING CHRIST IN BEARING INJUSTACE

Following Christ in Bearing Injustice. Now who is there to hurt you if you become enthusiastic for what is good?

WIVE AND HUSBAND IN A CHRISTIAN FAMILY LIFE

Just as Sarah obeyed Abraham [following him and having regard for him as head of their house], calling him lord. And you have become her daughters if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear.

FOLLOWING THE SHEPHERD OF SOULS

For you were continually wandering like [so many] sheep, but now you have come back to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

THE CHRISTIAN PILGRIM’S WALK

Beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers [in this world] to abstain from the sensual urges [those dishonorable desires] that wage war against the soul.

A LIVING STONE AND A HOLY PEOPLE

But you are A CHOSEN RACE, A royal PRIESTHOOD, A CONSECRATED NATION, A [special] PEOPLE FOR God’s OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies [the wonderful deeds and virtues and perfections] of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

CALLED TO BE HOLY REDEEMED AND PRURIFIED

So prepare your minds for action, be completely sober [in spirit–steadfast, self-disciplined, spiritually and morally alert], fix your hope completely on the grace [of God] that is coming to you when Jesus Christ is revealed.

BORN AGAIN TO A LIVIING HOPE

Born Again to A Living Hope.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

OUTLINE OF THE FIRST EPISTLE OF PETER

This Epistle was addressed primarily to Christian Hebrews, though it does not exclude Gentiles who, by adoption and faith, become members of the true Israel of God.

THE EFFECTUAL PRAYER OF FAITH

Is anyone among you suffering? He must pray. Is anyone joyful? He is to sing praises [to God].
Is anyone among you sick? He must call for the elders (spiritual leaders) of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
