ACCEPTABLE OFFERINGS TO THE LORD

Acceptable offerings to the LORD. “Speak to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites and say to them, ‘Any man of the house of Israel or any stranger in Israel who presents his offering, whether to fulfill any of their vows or as any of their freewill (voluntary) offerings which they presented to the LORD as a burnt offering–so that you may be accepted–it must be a male without blemish from the cattle, the sheep, or the goats.

Things forbidden and the portion for the priests. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘You shall not eat any fat from an ox, a sheep, or a goat. Moreover, you are not to eat any blood [of any kind], whether of bird or animal, in any of your dwelling places.

BURNED OFFERINGS OF THE HERD, FLOCKS AND FOWLS

Burned-offerings of the herd, flocks and fowls. “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When any one of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of [domestic] animals from the herd (cattle, oxen) or from the flock (sheep, goats).

LAWS ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE

You shall not harm or oppress any widow or fatherless child.
If you harm or oppress them in any way, and they cry at all to Me [for help], I will most certainly hear their cry;
and My wrath shall be kindled and burn; I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless.

JACOB FLEES FROM LABAN

Jacob Flees from Laban. Jacob noticed [a change in] the attitude of Laban, and saw that it was not friendly toward him as before.
Then the LORD said to Jacob, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your people, and I will be with you.”
